Our materials
At House of Saya, we believe true luxury is found in pieces that withstand the rhythm of your daily life. Designed for the modern woman, our collections combine the timeless glow of 18k Gold with the industrial strength of Medical-Grade Stainless Steel.
18k Gold PVD Coating
Our jewellery is finished using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)—a high-tech vacuum coating process that is ten times thicker and significantly more durable than standard gold plating. By bonding real 18k Gold to the base metal at a molecular level, we create a finish that is virtually inseparable from the piece itself. Underneath the gold is high-quality, 316L Stainless Steel.
Tarnish-Resistant: Unlike brass or copper, our steel base will not turn your skin green or rust.
Waterproof & Life-Proof: Crafted on a base of 316L Stainless Steel, House of Saya pieces are engineered to be your "second skin." Stainless steel is celebrated for its incredible stability and corrosion resistance, making it the ultimate choice for jewellery you never have to take off.
From Workouts to Weekends: Our pieces are 100% waterproof, sweat-proof, and heat-resistant. Whether you are at the gym, in the shower, or by the ocean, your glow remains unchanged
Kind to Your Skin: We prioritize your comfort. Our 18k Gold PVD-coated stainless steel is entirely hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and lead-free. It will never rust, never turn your skin green, and is safe for even the most sensitive skin types.
Jewellery Care Guide
At House of Saya, we craft our jewellery to be cherished for years. To maintain the original luster and ensure the longevity of your artisanal pieces, we recommend following these simple care instructions.
1. The "Last On, First Off" Rule
To protect your jewellery from chemicals found in everyday products, make it the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night.
Avoid Contact With: Perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and makeup. These can dull the surface of metals and stones over time.
2. Keep it Dry
Moisture is the leading cause of tarnish, especially for gold-plated or sterling silver pieces.
No Swimming or Showering: Remove your jewellery before stepping into a shower, pool, or the ocean. Chlorine and saltwater are particularly harsh.
Exercise: Remove your pieces before high-intensity workouts to avoid contact with sweat and to prevent accidental snags.
3. Cleaning Your Jewellery
You don't need harsh chemicals to keep your House of Saya pieces bright.
Soft Cloth: After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, lint-free cloth (like a microfiber or flannel cloth) to remove surface oils.
Deep Clean: For a deeper clean, use warm soapy water (mild dish soap) and a very soft toothbrush. Pat dry immediately with a clean towel—never leave jewellery to air dry.
4. Proper Storage
When you aren't wearing your pieces, they should be stored properly to prevent scratching and oxidation.
Individual Compartments: Store items separately in your House of Saya box or a soft pouch to prevent tangling and scratching.
Cool & Dry: Keep your jewellery box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity (avoid keeping jewellery in the bathroom).
